I just bought a Dell Studio 1555 running Vista Home Premium (32 bit) which is a reasonable laptop. I want to run Cubase Studio 5 audio software on it, however the intergrated High Definition Audio driver is not recognised in Cubase 5 software set up page, consequently Cubase 5 doesnt have any audio driver set up in it and therefore won't play any sound.
Is there any way around this problem? is there a better type of audio driver I can download such as a 'Generic Low Latency ASIO driver' or even a 'ASIO DirectX Full Duplex driver'or can I buy an extrenal sound driver card etc, or do I sell it and realise I made a mistake buying it? Please help![]()

First I would call Cubase 5's tech support and see if they know how to fix the problem. Chances are they do.
If that fails to resolve it you can always buy an external audio card. http://reviews.cnet.com/external-au...x/4507-9335_7-33314797.html?tag=mncolBtm;rnav There's a random one I found just for reference. If that software doesn't recognize a sound blaster card than something is wrong.
Any options for Dell 1555 audio drivers?
