    Hi.

Simple question. Right now the side lights blink when my laptop is sleeping. Apart from destroying the LEDs, is there any way to prevent this from happening?

    Thanks

Put to hibernation instead of sleep.

I can't use hibernation because my laptop will throttle after hibernation. Only sleeping the laptop fixes my throttling issues

There is no way to do it though software. You need to open up the computer (unscrew bottom panel then remove the keyboard by some more screws) and unplug the lights. I've done this and it's nothing to be scared of. :) Unplugging the side lights still lets the power button light blink when sleeping.

Yeah it is really annoying when trying to sleep. I usually just throw something over the laptop.

The light from the AC adapter is also annoying, I just cover it with my mouse pad when I sleep

I think ya'll should quit sleeping with your laptops. Problem solved. And quit putting clothes on it. It's a laptop.
