Has anybody overclocked their 8800Ms? If so how high did u hit? and were there any improvements at all?

Been awhile since I've done it,
OC'd something like 650/925 or something like that along with oc'ing the cpu to 3.4GHZ. 3dmark06 score was around 15.2k.
There's lots of info on this in the Official XPS M1730 Owners Lounge thread. If you don't mind reading 900+ pages. -
lol...900 pages T_T

15k 3dmark? Damn sexay.

Heh,anything above 13.5k is sweet

what is the purpose of overclocking?
-
to squeeze more out of a component by altering the "speed limiter" on the chip, with the downside being potential instability, reduced component lifetime ( even with successful overclocks) increased heat generation ( and a necessity for additional cooling if you overclock past a certain extent) and the potential to permenantly damage the component, or the rest of the system, if the overclock go wrong.
main uses are to squeeze more juice out of older components, so they can be used for more modern applications ( and their age means the reduced lifetime is a negligible effect) or if you want to get the absolute maximum out of a high end component.. e.g, taking top end notebook graphics cards, and then overclocking them to create the fastest notebook based graphics solution around..
though i'm too much of a wuss to try Overclocking myself, i'll stick with stock clocks and undervolting xD
Anybody O/Ced their dual 8800M GTXs yet?
