My power brick is annoying as hell. It makes buzzing and sparking like noises. It's not very loud but it's definitely there.

I called Dell and they sent me a replacement, and the replacement makes the same noises.

    Am I alone on this?

Have you tried adjusting the end of the laptop->brick part of the cord? My XPS m1530 had a "whiny" adapter. Sometimes jiggling the cord fixed it, sometimes not.

Electrical things should never make buzzing and sparking noises, at least consumer ones. I've never had one that did that. Does it make that noise when plugged into any outlet anywhere?

The noise is intermittent but it seems to happen with any plugs. Jiggling the cord didn't seem to help.

I would suggest you get them to replace the whole unit, electrical problems are one of those things where you think you fixed it but down the line it comes and bites your butt when you least expect it. That my 2 cents.
