Help!
I just purchased a led screen for my xps m1530 that came with regular ccfl lcd. I purchased a lid, bezel, and cable, too. But the cable has a blue connector that looks like it would connect to the inverter. Is there actually an inverter board that goes just below the led lcd screen? If so, does anyone know the part number?
Thanks in advance,
Bob

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
Don't worry about the part number... just search for M1530 inverter:

Chances are that you can probably use your old inverter, too. -
Well, I have the inverter that came with the original ccfl lcd screen, but am afraid to connect that to the led lcd screen. Aren't they usually specific to the screen? Should would feel better if someone knew that the ccfl and led lcd screens use the same inverter (or not) before connnecting it...

They should be the same, but you're right in that I can't guarantee it. At the very least you shouldn't damage any of the components by trying it out.

Commander Wolf, I appreciate your offer of help, but looks like it's different. I am running up against a brick wall. Dell support seems to only be able to sell me the entire lid/ led lcd panel/ inverter/ rail/ cable assembly. Price varies between 230 and 450 depending upon who I talk to, and they can't say when they can ship it. Has anybody opened their LED equipped panel up and noted whether there are any numbers on the inverter?

I recently broke my M1330 LED screen. I spilled some water on the screen, and all appeared fine. I didnt even shut it off, because it didn't distort or anything - i thought no water got inside. Well, some certainly entered through the left speaker hole, and some damage may also have occured at the base of my screen. It's washed out white with some vertical blocks of super-washed-out white. I haven't fixed it yet.
I was looking to replace the circuit at the base of the screen. I searched all over for inverter. All I found was what seems to be an inverter for the CCFL version. I'm begining to suspect there is NO seperate inverter for the LED version. I did not take apart the whole thing though, only removed the bezel.

Hello, I just wanted to ask, if the replacement of the CCFL panel to LED one was succesfull ? I've came across many information on the internet that such operation is impossible, which I honestly cannot believe much.
I know that the power circuits for CCFL and LED screens are different, but I doubt that it's impossible to adapt old one to new one. As for the question in this thread, I wouldn't try to connect the LED panel to the CCFL inverter, since the CCFL one needs thousands of volts while the LED one only needs dozens, and yes you can break the backlight by doing that (I don't think anything else would happen)
So, is there really an option to switch from CCFL to LED without many troubles ? please answer.
Anyone know p/n for inverter for LED screen?
