I need to get a laptop asap but might consider waiting if something is just around the corner. Anyone have any news? Been looking around searching but can't seem to find anything.

No leaks to speak of, but I would assume sometime in Mid August.

Wait around a bit, by August 4 Centrino 2 package will be complete -and the past weekend sale was huge on XPS, seems like they're cleaning up inventory.

Mid-August to mid september(so your looking at anywhere from (2 to 6 weeks). This is of course, speculation, but based on the fact that dell are rolling our their flagship business notebooks around this period, the XPS is sure to follow. Also, Apple is notoriously late in relasing their products and they are according to rumor, releasing their notebooks in september, dell isn't one to fall behind...especially since apple is gaining some ground and based on the last few snazzy re-designs, dell is looking to win back some of the coffee shop crowd.
