Hi fellas,
I'm selling my M1330 but need to reverse the copper mod. Do you happen to have the pink thermal foam pad around?
Regards

dont!!! sell it as a copper modded xps m1330 here in NBR, trust me, its worth much more like that in the eyes of those who know the advantages of a copper mod!
-
hurm.. thats interesting.
-
Koer is right. Unless you are sending your computer to DELL for warranty work, there is no need to remove a mod that makes the computer "better". Even if you dont sell it to a computer savvy person, just dont mention it to the new owner, and let him/her enjoy better thermal control without knowing it
-
unless you sell it and there is warranty left.....
-
-
Yea, that was my reason for asking if anyone has it. I want to sell it because it still has warranty on it.
So does anyone have a piece that they don't need anymore? -
Sorry, I'm still under warranty so I need mine still...what happened to yours?
-
My mom came over and felt she needed to reduce clutter. She accidentally threw away the brown paper bag where I kept my M1330 cooling stuff.

You can buy thermal tape from computer stores
That should do -
Isn't the one squashed between gpu and heatpipe a thermal foam pad? Is it the same as a thermal tape?
-
I don't know what it looks like but if you can get a clear pic of it I may have the raw material at work. We have various thermal pads, ribbed, spongy, double sided adhesive, ect. All in different thicknesses.
-
Can someone help me by posting a pic of the thermal pad with its size measurement as well? I'd appreciate it peeps.
-
traveller helped me out and according to him, its
13x13x2~3mm
& it's closer to Periwinkle (#CCCCFF) or purple mountain majesty (#9678B6), than pink... -
I will take a look at work tomorrow.
-
The only thermal pad in that colour range that I found was far thicker than 2-3mm, roughly 10mm
In that thickness range (2-3mm, 0.080" - 0.118") I found yellow, white and green pads.
Also a pink one but it is roughly 0.5mm (0.020") thick.
A picture would really help.
Was this thermal pad ribbed? -
do you still need one?
i have 2 lying around
where do you live btw? -
Thanks adam and evil, hang on.
Hep is helping me out by sending one from inspiron 9000.
I'll post a pic later if it is really close to the m1330's pad.
Appreciate your help.
Anyone not using their thermal foam pad from M1330?
