    Hi fellas,

I'm selling my M1330 but need to reverse the copper mod. Do you happen to have the pink thermal foam pad around?

    Regards
    hpr

dont!!! sell it as a copper modded xps m1330 here in NBR, trust me, its worth much more like that in the eyes of those who know the advantages of a copper mod!

Koer is right. Unless you are sending your computer to DELL for warranty work, there is no need to remove a mod that makes the computer "better". Even if you dont sell it to a computer savvy person, just dont mention it to the new owner, and let him/her enjoy better thermal control without knowing it :D

Yea, that was my reason for asking if anyone has it. I want to sell it because it still has warranty on it.

So does anyone have a piece that they don't need anymore?

My mom came over and felt she needed to reduce clutter. She accidentally threw away the brown paper bag where I kept my M1330 cooling stuff.

Isn't the one squashed between gpu and heatpipe a thermal foam pad? Is it the same as a thermal tape?

I don't know what it looks like but if you can get a clear pic of it I may have the raw material at work. We have various thermal pads, ribbed, spongy, double sided adhesive, ect. All in different thicknesses.

The only thermal pad in that colour range that I found was far thicker than 2-3mm, roughly 10mm

In that thickness range (2-3mm, 0.080" - 0.118") I found yellow, white and green pads.

Also a pink one but it is roughly 0.5mm (0.020") thick.

    A picture would really help.
    Was this thermal pad ribbed?

Hep is helping me out by sending one from inspiron 9000.
I'll post a pic later if it is really close to the m1330's pad.

    Appreciate your help.
