The original 6235 on L521X is weak. While my E6500 with intel 6300 and L521X put aside, E6500 catches tens of SSIDs, L521X catches barely 2-3.
I am thinking of switching the two wifi card to see if there is any improvement but I don't know if there is driver issue. Anyone tried this already?

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
Dell doesn't whitelist WLAN cards like HP and Lenovo does. Just install and download latest driver from Intel.

I tried to dissemble my E6500 to take out 5300. It is easy to take out the card, but very difficult to take out the anternas. Evn I can take them out, I will have problem put them in L521X.

^^^ Why spend serious money on a premium notebook and have to muck around like you're doing? Why buy suffering?
There are much more affordable and easier-to-work-with notebooks for the tinkerers. -
Just want to make it better.
-
Have you ever held one of these in your hands? The case, touchpad and keyboard are all very nice. The screen is better than most too.
-
That should be Dell's responsibility to you.
You're making assumptions. Anyway, I don't spend US$2000 to fondle a box.
Very pleasing to the eyes and hands. Not functioning well, though.
Screen better than most? The more you actually see and work with, the more you know for sure. BTW, why getting so defensive of the new purchase? -
What do you do if you bought something and then wanted it to be better? Do you return it to buy a new one, or you accept it and imagine it is the best to enjoy it?
Anyone tried to install Intel 5300 onto L521X?
