Vista ok but I'm going back to XP.

Anything I should be aware off?
Can I get Remote control/Mic/Cam/Logitech LcD display ect to work in XP?

Whats the best way to install the Raid drivers?I got a flash drive if I can use that!

Basically I'm just looking for someone whos done this already to give me a hand :)

I'm sure I'm not the only m1730 user that will benefit from a small guide!

    Thanks :D

Since Dell offers XP on the M1730 by default, I don't think you'll need to jump through any loops to get that working. Just go through the process as you would any re-installation; all of the XP drivers (Remote/Mic/Webcam) should be available on the Dell support site.

I think with XP you absolutely need a floppy drive to install RAID or SCSI drivers, but I may be wrong.

EDIT: You would probably do well to take a look through the M1730 owner's lounge.

And remember that by reverting back to XP, you'll only have 3.5GB of RAM that will be utilized, unless you go with a 64bit system.
