    With the Envy14 out of the running for me due to the lack of Radiance display, I'm looking for alternatives.

    i havent seen anything about SNB in the XPS14. Has there been no word?

    The 401x line was rather unceremoniously pulled from sales, with zero press or warning.

    Either a) the line has been discontinued or b) the line is being revamped with the SB chipset/mobos [they fit the "less than or equal to x2 SATA connections", I think]

    Hope for b) - but I don't think anyone knows for sure.

    The current XPS 14 is using 3 SATA ports (HDD, optical, and eSATA), so I doubt the next iteration use only 2 SATA ports.
