I'm getting the XPS Studio 16 and would like to protect it from scratches and dirt getting underneath the keyboard.

personally i dont bother. a laptop is not like a car....you dont normally keep it beyond 4-5 years anyway

all it needs is a carrying case/sleeve....i find those skins make using the keyboard not as nice.

you got a nice new computer! use it to the max before its obsolete lol.

replacement keyboards are cheap. you can just get a new keyboard in 2 years when the current one gets dirty....

I don't see what harm or interference a $5 screen protector will do especially for a glossy screen. I'd rather buy a keyboard skin and clean that than take apart the keyboard and clean the keys a year later.

i use the 'bestskinsever.com' large uncut skin to skin my own xps m1330.... its good....

a lot of laptops are glossy, but i dont realy like it... i got ViewGuard Anti-glare Matte screen protector.. it cuts down on the glare quite a bit, but u lose a bit of vibrant color and brightness(though LED backlight is good...)

thing is that the XPS 16 is new and has a 16" 16:9 screen, so u might not be able to find that many choices for it...
