I put vista ultimate 64 bit on my m1330 today and so far everything is working great. Now when I installed I switched from AHCI to ATA so I would be able to boot (it was giving me a screen saying windows failed, if I left it on AHCI). So can I just leave it on ATA because I really don't see any improvements with AHCI or should I switch back. I don't want to fiddle with this thing anymore so I would like to just leave it. Let me know what to do.

Oh and by the way my sound problems went away after switching to 64 bit.

    Thanks

You kind of need to install the Intel Chipset Utility, which should install the drivers needed.

Vista should have worked with either mode out of the box...strange.
