    Hey everyone,

I just got the XPS 1340 as a replacement from Dell and it came with Vista 32bit i requested a 64 bit disk and loaded it all up. All the drivers are back on and the audio is absolutely terrible. It crackles and skips. I am using iTunes to play music.

Has anyone had this same problem able to fix it and if so how?

O and I never installed the IDT Audio HD startup program because I dont have the disk for that. The Audio Codec is installed and that is from IDT

I am just interested in playing the audio from movies and iTunes. Nothing to do with audio creation or recording. You would think that a expensive laptop like this Dell would be able to at least do that.
