Hi there, i got a sort of a problem here:
I'm planning on recording some guitar stuff using adobe audition 3 and my guitar amp, and here is the thing: when i try to record using a rca cable attached to my amp and plugged to the line-in jack on the front of the laptop and then hit the record button, it records with the microphone near by the webcam, and of course it records all the mess in the background.
I tried disabling the microphone array in the control panel to leave the line-in as the only choice for adobe audition to use, but when i do that the software shows no in device and shows a warning about no recording device activated.
What i try to do is record directly from the amp, the pure sound of the guitar, i guess it could be done with the line-in, but do i use this?...

Any suggestions about this, would be very appreciated...

Check your Control Panel -> SigmaTel Audio.

Just wanted to post my solution, in case someone get in the same situation: ASIO4ALL saved me, just installed the last version, and that was it, i chose that driver as my default recording driver in Adobe Audition and presto!, i was able to record using a mic plugged into the Line-In jack
