Tried the drivers from laptopvideo2go? Installation instructions here. Is your driver OEM or straight from Nvidia?

    Cheers...

Start > Computer > Right click > Manage
Even Viewer > Windows Logs > System

Sort by "source" then find "save dump" as a source.
That should tell you the faulting module in the details of those events.

Also, go to C:\Windows\Minidump, zip or rar up the files and upload them to megaupload.com and I'll analyze them to determine the problem for you.

Make sure you installed the chipset drivers and intel turbo memory drivers from the dell site. That will solve the BSOD problem on restarts - and if I remember correctly, if you power down and power up, there is no BSOD, it only happens on a restart.

Yea right. i have got dual boot. Vista and XP. Vista is in C and XP is in D. i m talking about Vista. as u said that "Also, go to C:\Windows\Minidump, zip or rar up the files and upload them to megaupload", i can't find this. and the second process is "Sort by "source" then find "save dump" as a source." i didn't find anything like save dump. if u can tell me exactly how to do that.

Okay, we'll do this in little steps.

Open computer management by right clicking on my computer (on desktop or start menu) and clicking manage.

Then, in computer management, open event viewer on the left hand pane.
    Then click Windows logs.
    Then click System.
In the right hand box, click "source" at the top to sort entries by their source, alphabetically.
Find entries with the source called "save dump"
Double click them for details. Post the contents of their "description" box here.

I don't actually have a Vista machine on hand so this is from memory. It should be close to identical.

It's okay. The thing is, if you have a BSOD, it will be logged in there. 100%.

How often do these BSODs occur? Do you do anything that seems to trigger it? (opening a program, closing a program, playing a game, anything?)
Turn off the computer, turn it on and start tapping F8. You'll get a list of things like Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, and so on. Select "Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure"
Next time you get a BSOD, note down the code at the top (will be in english)
Also, note down the stop code at the bottom, will look something like this 0x00000000. If it says "beginning dump of physical memory" let it do the whole thing before rebooting. That dump will also help us.

No i didn't do anything special when i got BSODs. the first time i clicked on shutdown button (sidebar gadget) and left the room. once i got back to room i have found BSOD. 2nd time i was surfing net like usual, suddenly it occurred and third time again in the middle of my usual work it happened.

for sure i'll make a note of it when it will happen again. by the by, i have run that memtest86+ again and it was successful after 52 minutes of the process.

Do u think me to change the nVidia driver or i shall better wait until it occurred again? i feel frustrated cuz just last week dell technician changed my Motherboard as he was changing the hitsink.

If you'd like you can shotgun it and just start doing things, like updating all of your hardware drivers and hope it fixes the problem.

Ok well just something to try, maybe underclock the ram and see what happens? Worth a shot, I doubt itll fix anything but worth a try and its quick. Just a random thought I had. I hate ram issues.

If you zip and post the minidumps generated from the crash, we can attempt to diagnose the issue further. Tcpip.sys could indicate an issue with a network driver (wireless or wired). It may also be caused by torrenting software, or a security suite.

You can try different drivers for the network devices, turning off any torrenting programs, or temporarily disabling your security suite (if you are a low-risk user). Otherwise, find some way of analyzing those minidumps, and they'll tell you more about the issue.

    Minidumps are located in %windir%/minidump.

sorry mate, i couldn't find minidump. i tried the way u said me, but don't know why there is no folder or file by that name.

one more thing i need to tell u that, i ran 1st half bit of the dell diagnostic and it couldn't find any fault of the RAM. then i ran memtest 86+. it ran almost 53 minutes and reported me no fault of the RAM. then i left it running and once i got back room, it was around 3:54 mnt later, i saw some error of the RAM. so, does it mean that my RAM is faulty? but as far as i know that memtest86+ shows fault of the RAM within 55mnts of running. i m going to attach a photo of the memtest86+ result shown on the screen. if some one expert could tell me if my RAM is faulty and that causes the BSOD.

I'm sorry nealloy1981, I just got back from a trip where I had no internet.

    0x000000D1 gives 3 possibilities:
    Bad driver
    Bad memory
    Bad pagefile

If it was the last one, a reboot would have fixed the issue.
We could go through reinstalling all of your drivers, but since memtest failed, we don't have to. Remove the second memory module and run the system like that for a while. If it doesn't crash again, it was bad memory. If it does, it's likely a motherboard problem.
