Hi, for a long time now I have been having regular bsod crashes on my xps..

all drivers are up to date, all windows updates are installed. I have 4gb of memory pre-installed by dell on the machine. re-installing windows from scratch doesn't help, neither do registry cleaners..

Annoyingly I have seen quite a few different messages before shutdown.

I have just started to learn about windows debugging, & have downloaded the program and ran it, but am not sure how to use it properly yet, i tried to analyse the crash file memory.dmp in the windows folder but I am told the symbol search path is invalid - how do I rectify this ?

as you can tell I am a relative novice at this!! please help, thanks :D

try removing one of the ram module..if it crashes switch them with each other and if that does not work..id either contact dell, that is if you have warranty.
