    Bad DVD-Rom

    When i first purchased 5 months ago, my DVD makes really loud noise. Dell replaced it and today my DVD-rom cant read or burn . 2 bad drives in 5 months. Does anyone experience this? :mad:

    mine has problems reading/writing sometimes, allready contacted dell to get a replacement, but yeah i know those matsua drives arent pretty :)

    I have the Teac DVD-Rom drive..it's not so bad. Sometimes, it has it's moments, other than that it's alright.

    Mine has a Teac also and it's been a great drive for almost a year now - besides being a tad noisy when booting.

    i also have a teac its been working 100%. but upon booting it makes an "ejection" sound. other than that its been great
