    Very Well**

I have ordered over 4 laptops from Dell.. 3 of them in the past 2months ( I did return more than one of the laptops twice) ..

Dell sends used products so the moment you unpack your laptop make sure to check it out and check the bottom of the laptopp for scratches and make sure the battery is brand new..seriously.

Today I got fed with them after ordering a mouse and they sent me a used one! ! when I pay for brand new mouse then I expect a brand new mouse, they do have a high return ratio and they do send refurb/ opened products after repackging it.. it is not my problem that someone bought something and returned it! after spending thousands with them.. they still send me used stuff, I have to time to keep calling and requesting return slips and shipping back to them, time is money for me so please be aware. Just ranting.. wat else can I do? lol

EDIT: Not to mention that the mouse had grease on it! the person who owned it before was eating something and using it.. shame on you Dell.. now I am thinking to file a complaint against them.. they should know better

Dell online ( brand new).. so it should be brand new.. it didn't happen like once or twice.. every other order they do the same, everything comes packages as new and when you check it out then you notice it has issues,

I also got an email a week ago saying that there is a service call for one of my laptops so I checked the asset tag and I noticed it was for another system that I have returned, they just repackged it and sold it to another poor guy.. and he got the same issue that I had and that was the reason why it was returned! so basically they didn't fix it even if they sold it refurbished..they should test it

Just curious, but what about the mouse tipped you off?

I had to return my original XPS 15 due to the screen getting FUBAR'd within hours of having it, but both it and the replacement were very much new. Not even a finger print. I didn't check the battery, but what am I supposed to look for anyways?

The Dell outlet is online too, so which is it, Dell.com/outlet or Dell.com?

The mouse came in the original package, but once I opened it I noticed it had grease on it and finger prints, then I looked at the bottom of the mouse, u know they have rubber pieces.. they are all scratched and it is so obvious it was used, like u can see the scratches all over them so u know it was being used.. I did have a problem with my xps 15 ( the first one) the screen was messed up then it got fixed then they didn't give me the warranty so I returned it and got a new one and the battery was so scratched too so I asked for a new one, I noticed the JBL subwoofer had scratches too.. like all over it so u can tell it was setting on a desk and was used.. I just cannot keep wasting my time and money on returning , I alreday paid 70$ extra for my phone bills and it is all Dell calls that costed me much..

Dell.ca , Mine was customized too.. they said its brand new.. I think in Canada once people return their products.. it stays there and they repackage it and sell it as new to other people.. there is no other explanation.. altho they say that the product is coming from the states and the tracking number says that too..

Like cmon, grease on the mouse side! and scratches! and as I mentioned before it is not regular scratches..

I've not heard of this before. Only outlet computers are refurbished, I have never heard of a new custom order being a refurb, let alone several of them. Dell will sometimes send a refurb as a replacement system though if they have the right spec'd one in the outlet.

Yea man, I never expected it to be that way too but I have noticed that they did it more than two times.. like the XPS 15 that I am using now was owned by someone else, because the JBL subowoofers at the bottom have so many scratches from a Desk or from being inside a bag, you know how u see small scratches everywhere? that was the first thing I noticed on it when I took it out of the box and it is brand new, maybe they reuse the chassis or they reuse the hardware from other returned laptops..weird and disappointing

Hey, After months of having my laptop constantly replaced, I just gave up with dell as a whole. They sent me refurbished parts each time and there would always be something else wrong after the technician had everything installed. After 8 months of patience I got my money back and have chosen a different company to get a laptop from, I advise you to do the same.
