    Hello all,

I recently purchased a Dell L502X and I love it. I popped an SSD in to replace the hard drive it came with and I did a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit. I installed all the necessary drivers and everything works perfectly. Except one thing, I currently have no Blu-ray playback compatible software. I have done research, but it seems as if each program has a fault and won't play every blu-ray you throw at it.

    Any recommendations?

    All help is greatly appreciated!

I have PowerDVD 10 Ultra and all I have to do is update with patches from the site when I have a compatibility issue.

(Assuming your laptop came with a Blu-ray player...) The OEM Power DVD software should be available at your "My Downloads" page at Dell.

I've got the same upgrade and can recommend it without hesitation.

Is there anything particularly wrong with the one that comes with the system?

I do have a blu-ray player built into my computer and I went to the my dell downloads site to register my computer, but it gave me these error when it was scanning my system:
"An Application error has occurred. Please contact customer support if this problem persists. "

Could it be because I installed my own SSD?

    Thank you.

    It's fine for basic playback.
