Hi,
Perhaps people could advise me as to the best (or a good) bluetooth mouse for use for a new Xps 1530. My main requirements are that it is bluetooth without a dongle - and at least has a side back-button (preferably a side front button too).
I'm currently using a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 and ideally want the same model for the laptop - just on bluetooth. I find bigger mice easier to use and the smooth 4-way scrolling is a major advance for video editing.
The Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook mouse 5000 looks good but has poor reviews - and I'm not sure if it's a bit small with unsmooth scrolling.
Thanks!

I use the Logitech V470 Bluetooth Laser mouse with my XPS m1330.
So far I am satisfied with the performance. -
Thanks - looks quite good gopz but does it have a button on the side (i.e. other than just left, middle and right click) please?

you can try the razer Pro Click Mobile Mouse but i don't think it has any side buttons though

Hi!Hi!
I use the Microsoft Bluetooth Wireless 5000, for my 1530 ~ and I really like it. It works for me cuz its small, and is good when I am working at my desk or out-and-aboutI have never had any troubles with it.
It is smaller, so not sure if it will work or not...

Hope that helps you with your choice.

Thanks Cin - that does look a great mouse. Perhaps you could just confirm whether the scroll wheel in the middle is smooth (i.e. doesn't "click" as it jumps down the page) and whether it is 2 or 4 way.
Thanks -
My problem with wireless mice is that the batteries are always running out at the worst of times. I'd rather just carry around a wired mouse and plug it right in and not have to worry about whether it's charged or not. I have a Logitech G5 which is fairly small and I use it for my desktop and laptop.

the scroll wheel itself acts as right and left buttons - it can be configures for different applications or whatever you need (by default it is configured for sideways scroll)
So effectively we have left click, right click, scroll wheel, scroll wheel left click, scroll wheel right click and scroll wheel press. 3 buttons but 6 functionalities. -
I like it cuz, its small for portability, and it is *fast*

I too have the Logitech V470 and love it.

I'm looking into getting a Dell Bluetooth Mouse. 5 Buttons and it's cheaper than the v470. Anyone have experience with this mouse?

I bought an OEM MS 5000 BT mouse and *love* it. It's small but very, very well proportioned - I have big hands and have no problems with it. Reception is very good. It has a "back" (or whatever) button on the LH side, in addition to L, R and scroll wheel. Unlike the MS 4000 that it replaced, the scroll wheel does click, which is too bad but isn't enough of an issue to make we want to use another mouse. I really like the mouse's feel, and I like having nothing stuck in the USB port to break off or take up space. Battery life has been good, too. I bought mine as an OEM part for $29.

I bought and returned the MS 5000 because the scroll wheel was WAY too easy to press by accident. Whenever I'd scroll, I would end up clicking the wheel. If you check on Amazon, a number of people had this same complaint.
