Hi guys. I was wondering if anyone out there has had any good experiences with any particular notebook cooler for the M1530. I currently have an Antec notebook cooler, which is pretty good quality but unfortunately, the fans for it are located near the center of the pad, while the M1530 air intake vent is in the back left corner.
I was thinking of getting these but was wondering if anyone here's had any first hand experiences on whether or not the fan placement on these are good for the 1530.

and the 3-fan version (I basically only need 1 fan that will go striaght into the vent, but because there's 3 fans, maybe the placement is slightly different?)

If anyone here has any other recommendations on a cooling pad that they know for sure has good placement (fan shoots directly into intake vent), please let me know. I have already considered the Zalman NC1000 and 2000's, but as far as I know, the fan placement on those models aren't good for the M1530.
Thanks guys

i have the black 2 fan version, paid 30 bucks at frys before a $15 rebate. it's bigger than the width by nearly 2 inches, but you can place it on the right side and it should line up fairly well, but the rear foot hangs off the end a lil.
other than that it's a quiet cooler, seems to work fairly well, very sturdy build. the angled rest on the front lines up well. this of course blocks the front ports (x-fi card fixes that). for what i paid it's definitely worth it.
the only thing bad i've heard about is the fans on the bottom aren't covered (possibly posing a problem if used on your lap, shouldn't be if you're careful) and i've seen some concern that it would scratch the laptop on the front, i just keep a thin piece of the foam that came over the screen with the laptop. -
and the 'two ports' isn't accurate (unless i'm missing something)
you power it with one of those ports using the enclosed usb cord from ur laptop. -
when you said that moving the laptop slightly to the right will fit fairly well, does the fan fit directly underneath the vent? I ask this because I realized that cooling increases significantly if the fan blows perfectly into the vent. When testing on my M1530, my gpu idles at around 65 C with no cooling, around 60 C when placed squarely center on the antec cooler (fan doesnt fit perfectly under vent), and 53 C if I position the laptop awkwardly on the cooler so that the fan blows directly into the vent. I'm basically trying to find a cooler that will have the fan blow perfectly into the vent without me having to position the laptop awkwardly on the cooler to the point where its hanging halfway off the cooler (as is the case with my antec cooler right now).

anyone have any other suggestions? The NZXT Cryo LX looks pretty massive and I'm guessing that (3) 120mm fans would cover pretty much the entire laptop. Any cheaper alternatives with good fan placement?

anyone else? anyone have experience with the 3 fan model?

I'd like to know the answer to the very same question as well...
Zalman nc1000/2000 are expensive yet well built....but not so sure about the placement of the vents.
Notepal Infinite looks good, well built and is cheaper but it intakes air from the back which is where the xps m1530 expels the air....so don't know if that's so good.
And lots of others..
They all have pros and cons. So all you xps m1530 owners out there that have answer please....anyone? -
I have a Zalman nc1000, (I would have got a 2000 if Dell had it on their website; I had a gift card to spend). It works great, it seems a little small but surprisingly it doesnt seem to matter it's very sturdy and holds the notebook well. I think it works by using the fans to intake air and then blows it out through the surface (covered in small holes), then it goes across the bottom of the notebook and out the sides (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, it works so I haven't spent much time examining how). Overall I'm happy, the notebook's fan only kicks in when playing back HD video or gaming.

I have a Coolermaster Notepal W2 (3fan) coming, I will let you know if it is any good for the M1530.

Does anyone think this would be good for the M1530? Fan placement seems somewhat more suitable than certain others (the pictures actually show two different types of fan placement...the one with fan in top left is better). It's cheap too....but yeah what do people think...
Best Cooler to fit XPS M1530? Coolermaster?
