Looking at this Lappy due to i7 and o.k GPU vs the M17X.
Best deal for my configuration is around 2500+shipping+tax.
    i820
    4g ram
    BD reader
    standard HDD
    RGB Screen

For that price, I can add a few hundred and get the M17X with dula GPU.
Possible to get my config. below 2k?

Or wait till after CES 2010 and see what pops up?

You missed 20% Bing cashback by a week. That really helped bring my price down.

If you click the link from this very forum, my high end 16" configuration came out $550+ cheaper. That seems to be the best deal right now.

How often does bing run a nice % off like that?

@ChivalricRonin: Which link are you referring to?

Right above this very thread there's a bar that says "post questions and comments on the Dell XPS and Studio XPS line of notebooks in here. Click Here to see the latest Dell XPS Deals." Clicking takes you to a modified Dell website and one of the builds they have there is a fully loaded and customizable Core i7 SXPS 16.

I clicked on the above deal link and did a test configuration. For $1988 got the following:

    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
    Intel® Core™ i7-820QM Quad Core Processor @ 1.73GHz (3.06GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache)
    Microsoft Works
    2 Year Basic Service Plan
    McAfee SecurityCenter, 15-Months
Full HD Widescreen 16.0 inch RGBLED LCD (1920x1080) W/2.0 MP
    6GB Shared Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz
320GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive
Slot Load Blu-ray Disc (BD) Combo (Reads BD and Writes to DVD/CD)
Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Module (2.1+EDR)

I also read from a few people here that the RGBLED screen is not worth the extra $140, so you could save more if you got the WLED 1080. They say the 1080 has deeper blacks, and the RGB is too vibrant w/ the colors.
