    RAM is RAM is RAM. You are better off with more RAM than faster RAM, and faster RAM commands a premium. Unless you encode 24/7 you won't notice the difference with faster RAM. You can buy a 1 x 8 GB stick pretty cheap these days..

    RAM is RAM unless it's by OCZ. They managed to send two sets of 2x4 DDR3 sticks to me that were DOA. And the third set died after 9 months.

    OCZ has earned its poor reputation over the past several years of selling products for cheap by using specifications that are outside of what their competition considers acceptable.
