Hi everyone! I want to be able to record live TV as well as my video game consoles (PS2, PS3, XBOX, etc.). What is the best TV Tuner to go along with the XPS M1530? Any Suggestions?

Not really... I would like it to have a decent signal strength. HD would be nice but does not matter... I really am just interested to see what would be compatible with the laptop itself. The only major thing that it must have is the ability to record video game console footage from the composite cables straight to the laptop. That is a must.

The TV tuner that dell offers for their m1530s will do everything mentioned here, but I heard that the quality of composite connection isn't exactly HD. I'll try to post some screenshots of quality if you want.

That would be great if you could! I would like to see screenshots of recording TV and Videogame Consoles if you could.

I have many pictures of my M1530 here, http://community.webshots.com/album/563290839JMkwLA , I only made one cause I have a test tomorrow that I have to study for, but if you need more screenshots I'll try to get some more later. it's not exactly clear, but not many tuners are allowed to produce really clear pictures because of copyright issues.

The AverTV Nanoexpress Tuner, it's in the accessories section, not the actual system config.

they don't offer that over here in the UK unfortunately.
Well, amazon has AverTV tuners, just rather expensive.
But looking at customer reviews for other tuners on amazon helps, even though some of them are mixed.

I have a 1720 and i use this little guy here. Works great. HD is awesome for local channels. You also have an extension for components. I hooked my 360 up to this just to see if it would work. It does. ahha
