    I was looking into buying a notebook cooler for my xps1645 since it getting really hot not in the summer, was wondering if anyone has some opinions or suggestions on what to get

    no, i use the laptops keyboard and mouse.... different from the rest but my concern is the fan is kind of small and the laptops processor and hard drive are more on the edge of the laptop.


    anyways thanks for pointing it out

    I wasn't aware that a 14 cm fan was considered small... it's not loud (unnoticeable when the laptop's internal fan is on) and pushes a lot of air. The entire bottom of my laptop is cool and the palm rest area is only mildly warm when I use this stand. When I'm not at work, I use my laptop primary for gaming. This cooler drops the GPU and CPU temps by 5-10 degrees and I never have throttling problems.

    Still, none of that really matters, since I definitely would not recommend the cooler if you don't use an external keyboard/mouse.

    i have been looking at the zalmans nc3000 and they have a 22cm fan, that why i said they were small,

    Nice, that is definitely a good cooler. I think the Zalman NC coolers are the ones typically recommended :)
