Just hoping there may be some good discounts between Black Friday and Christmas, or even after Christmas sales.

I'd image, as they'll be trying to push out their old xps line notebooks. They usually have good sales, but if you didn't already know they're giving the high end of the spectrum to alienware totally, and putting a hybrid of xps and studio in as their middle mark, with studio at the low end and speculating inspiron as a netbook section.

i contacted Dell yesterday asking questions about an XPS i wanted to buy, but the guy on the other end of the phone was un-willing to strike a deal and then not adding my staff discount so i'm going to wait,

he said prices would go up, but i dont believe him as Xmas proves for the best deals, he mentioned allienware in the call though saying all XPS are made by Alienware.

    is this true??

The sales will be useful only if you don't plan on getting the latest and hottest selling stuff.

    Latest? Dell?

I don't think so. Dell seems to be encorporating the latest technology in its home lines, like its a bad disease.

Nothing decent has happened in a LONG time.
