    Hi all,
Here is my problem. I opened the lid on m1530 last night and nothing happened. I forced a reboot by holding down the power button, the light flashed in the usual but still i was represented with a black screen. This was happened before so I started my usual routine of powering down and removing the battery. I left it like this and went to bed. Woke up this and pugged the battery back in. No change, this has forced the machine to reboot in the past.

    What to do?
The machine is currently sitting on my desk with the battery and memory out.

One other thing, there is a audio in the drive, do I need to get this before it will restart?

    Thanks,

    Karl Martin

The mainboard seems to be toast. If you still have warranty call them, if not they might replace it, but it will cost a small fortune.
If you are somewhat confident with taking it apart, you can also get a mobo from ebay and replace it yourself.
