Not sure if this is the right place, excuse me if it isn't.

I closed my laptop yesterday and as it should it went into sleep mode.
I opened it up later but screen stayed black.
Shut it down, turned it on, but screen stays black.
From what i've read on the internet so far it's probably because of electricity still in the system but the unplug power and battery and hold power button for 60s doesn't work for me.
Now when i try the fn booting method it makes some weird sounds, and since I have no idea what they mean I thought maybe someone here would.

it beeps 3 times, then one by one the caos lock scroll lock and num lock butons light up and the sound is like a riddle each beep a little higher, like (im no pro at sound ladders but A is lowest and C highest ;p) A B C B A it does that 3 times, then the 3 normal beeps 3 times and then it repeats.

Any idea anyone? I'm gonna try just letting the power from my battery run out, see if that helps.

I am totally non-talented music-wise. Perhaps these will help:

There are also more than one M1730 owner's lounge threads on this forum. They are many many pages, but if you have the patience, you may find the solution. Evidently this is not an isolated problem.

Apparently it has nVidia GF8700 cards, so my guess is some busted chip :)
