    Does nyone have any news/rumours about a Blu ray writer becomong available for the Studio XPS 16 at any time?

    I know that this option is not yet available even on the Studio 15/17 ranges and they have been out for a while.

    the only ones a writer is available on are the XPS 1530 (old chipset and hot running plus low screen quality) or the XPS 1730 (Obscene amount of money for again old specs)

    Eventually. Dell takes forever to release things for newer systems. I have the 1640 and am still waiting for them to release the 9 cell battery here in canada
