    Can anyone tell me the Blu-Ray drive model number that is installed in XPS M1530? It should be listed in the Device Manager. I already know the drive model number for Sony laptop and I want to compare the read/write speed of Dell drive and Sony drive.

    Thanks for your response. It looks like that UJ-225S slot drive is identical with UJ-220S tray drive used by Sony except that the slot drive is a bit heavier.

    But I heard that slot drive is noisier and vibrates stronger than the tray drive. Is it true?

    i thought they used panasonic drives in the 1530 ?
