To upgrade the optical drive you will have to take apart the entire notebook.

Which notebook are you talking about? Because the 1330 doesn't have a compatible blu-ray drive.. It's a 9.5 mm drive, and I don't know of any 9.5 mm BD drives..

If still with in 21days cancel period just cancel your order and re-order with blu-ray drive.

If you can get the part number then you could order the drive from Dell Parts. It will be costly and will come with a very short warranty. :( And you will need to install it yourself which you will need to take the whole laptop apart.

Like the other posters have said. Return and re-order is your best and cheapest option...

I hope a thin one comes out for us 1330 owners. It would be on my list of upgrades.

The leaked spec sheet for the Studio XPS 13" lists a blu-ray drive as an option.. Just hope that's be a 9.5 mm one.. (Although, the spec sheet for the 1330 also listed a blu ray drive to be added later.. never happened.. )
