This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    believe it has to be a 9mm drive, not the standard 13.5mm...

    and it has to fit exactly .....

    why dont save some trouble and order from dell parts? think u should be able to sweetalk a tech rep to sell you one... and it shoudlnt; cost $600... it is $400 to upgrade to BluRay on dell's config site
