    Hey Everybody

I am thinking about ordering the M1530. I have 2 questions...first is should I get the blue-ray player upgrade...I don't have a blue-ray player now so it wouldn't hurt to have one....just wondering everybody's opinion on this.

Second question is what screens does everybody have. I am going to either get the LED with 1440 or the HD with 1920. I have good eyes and like small icons and font but I still can't decide.

    Thanks for you advise.

    Welcome to Notebook Review!

I have heard nothing but good news for the LED 1440, and I'm sure many here will recommend it. 1920 will give you more pixels, but that's too small for me on a 15.4" screen.

I'd get the LED screen, I am really happy with mine. As for Blu-Ray, it all depends on whether or not you will use it. On that small of a screen it probably won't make a huge difference. Though if you plan to hook it up to a TV then you'll see the benefits.

Go with full hd, even if you don't like the small font size, you can always upscale. That and it looks amazing, really does, compared to it any other screen looks pixelated and fuzzy.

1920 is definately the way to go if you plan on using it to watch movies on BR as they look fantastic, if you can get the movies to actually play using MediaDirect that is.

I am having major issues with most of the recent releases, like Kung Fu Panda, Hellboy II, and The Clone Wars. Both Kung Fu Panda and hellboy II lock up once you hit play and The Clone Wars won't even boot up at all.

The sad part is everytime I fire up MD it asks me to update, but there are NEVER any updates available. Is the update function for MD broken or is there an update available at all?

EDIT: After spending a couple of hours with Dell support I've given up and downloaded PowerDVD 8 Ultra and I have yet to have a single issue with any Blu-ray.

Thanks Guys....The 1920 sounds awesome. I am use to small font as I have a 12 inch laptop (for my other job) and I set the res to 1400 by 1050, and it looks super sharp. I want to go to a box store and see a 15.4 inch with 1920 res. Anybody know who else has a screen with a res that high that is sold in a box store.
