I received my XPS 15 a couple days ago, and installed the latest Intellipoint software so that I could use my Bluetooth Mouse (a MS Intellimouse Explorer). It seemed to be working fine, but then suddenly it stopped working. Checking the Device Status, it said that the mouse was working properly, and it even reported the battery level, so the connection didn't appear to be cut. I tried rebooting, and then when that didn't work, I uninstalled the device and installed it again, but although it found the mouse and installed the device ok, the computer still wouldn't respond to any mouse movement/button presses. Then, a few minutes later, it started working again.
This has now happened several times. I have even tried swapping the mouse for another of the same model, but exactly the same thing keeps happening. It randomly stops responding and then randomnly starts again. Sometimes when it starts again, the mouse pointer is sluggish, and seems to lag behind my movements for a while, before going back to normal.
Has anyone else experienced this, and does anyone know what's going on/how to fix it?

This problem gets weirder. After posting the above, it got to the point that the mouse was cutting out nearly all the time. So I switched to using a wired MS Intellimouse Explorer 4.0. This worked fine, and after a few hours, I thought I would try the Bluetooth mouse again, and it worked. It has worked perfectly for two days, but it has just stopped working again.
So I switeched to using the wired mouse, only this time, if I plugged it in the USB 3.0 port on the right hand side (the shared eSATA port), the light on the mouse came on for a split second and went off and the mouse was not detected. If I used it in the other two ports, it worked fine. Upon rebooting the computer, the wired mouse now works fine in the USB/eSATA port, and the Bluetooth mouse is working fine too (for now).
I know there have been complaints about the USB ports cutting out, so is this what just happened and could it be linked to why my Bluetooth mouse keeps stopping working or was this purely a coincidence? Or is there another explanation?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to know whether this is worth persevering with or whether I need to try and get a refund. -
It seems that there is a serious defect with the Dell XPS USB 3.0 ports, and tell now DELL didn't come up with a solution, check this thread on dell forum
Dell XPS 15 - USB 3.0 Problem - Laptop General Hardware Forum - Laptop - Dell Community
I am also wondering why this forum didn't take up this problem seriously! -
I'm still not sure how, if these faults are connected, this USB 3.0 problem would be causing my Bluetooth Mouse problems though, where the Bluetooth is on the Intel 6230 Wireless card. What would cause the one to effect the other?

I also just recently got the L502X with Intel 6230 and having problems pairing bluetooth devices. I have updated device drivers to the latest DELL versions and still can't pair any device. Any solutions?
Cheers,
