    Hey,
I don't know why but while configuring my laptop, I forgot to tick the built in bluetooth capability for my xpsm1330. I'm wondering now if I should just buy an external adapter or still get the module from Dell's website. It sells for around $32.
Also, how easy/difficult is it to install the module on your own? Is it just better to get an external one?

    Thanks

    1) It's easy to install, you have to remove I think 3 screws on the bottom and remove the little plastic panel the power button is on. You then pretty much just slide it in to a little plastic slot, and plug in a wire.

    2) I wouldn't buy it direct from Dell, $32 sounds like quite a ripoff to me. I would probably get it on ebay. Alternatively, I have one I could sell you for $15 shipped in the CONUS (removed, working, from an M1330). PM me if interested.

    3) There will be advantages and disadvantages to having internal vs external. Having internal is nice because it is all contained in the laptop. Have external is nice because you can plug it into other computers and use it on them. Also, by removing an external, you can save yourself battery life that would be lost by having the B/T be internal. How I remedied this on my M1330 was changing a setting in the BIOS. The wireless switch can be set to turn off Bluetooth, Wireless, or Both. Since I ALWAYS used Wireless, I set the switch to only affect bluetooth and just turned it on when I needed it.
