    All,

I purchased L502X (2nd Gen Core i5) with 720P display! I did not do much reading and fact finding and went straight away with mentioned display. I realised how awful the display is when I got it in my hands. Is there anything which can be done now? The machine is almost 15 days old. I called the Dell Tech Support and the representative told me that upgrading now would cost me 10K more plus some warranty issues. Help me guys! Don't want this pity display on my XPS 15!

    Thank you.

you can send it back since you have 6 days if you say its 15 days old.

call up dell customer care division & tell them you are not satisifed with system, you will get the refund deducting the shipping charges.

for more information check the below link posted be Les a long time ago.

No the 21 days is the invoice date, though if your CTO model was heavily delayed they will reset it to ship date.

You can order the 1080p screen yourself and it's not that expensive if you look it up on eBay and then install it yourself. It's really not complicated as I've done something like this before with my laptop, and it's a Dell as well. Although, shipping and payments might be something you have to pay for, but replacing your screen shouldn't screw up your warranty.

Worst case, you can resell the laptop and order another L502x from Dell with a 1080p screen or do the swap yourself.

I think I will sell it and buy another one. The screen upgrade charges including the cable are almost 1/4th of the laptop's price!!
