Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I just got a new Dell Studio XPS 13 with Vista Home 32 bit and the first thing I did was repartition the drives using Easeus Partition Manager. It ran fine for a few days but while using open office many times the system hangs and responds after a long time and after repeated Ctrl+Alt+ Del. Same thing happens when running a lot of tabs in Opera. I have 4 GB memory so I doubt if its a memory issue. Is it becoz of the repartitioning and is it advisable to change the OS to XP?

Well, I'm neither a fan of Vista nor Open Office; both feel unfinished and unstable.

If partitioning went without a hitch and there were no errors, then it shouldn't be a problem, which leaves general system configuration / drivers.

Personally I'm using Windows 7 on my 1340; it looks and feels great, but updating builds is a bit of a pain. XP is a possibility, but AFAIK you'll need to do some extra hunting to get some of the drivers.

PS. 4GB of RAM and a 32 bit OS? You realise some of that memory is lost in this case?
