I just picked up a brand new XPS 15 (late 2013 model) and I'm already having issues with it going to sleep. When I try to put the computer to sleep (either through start->sleep) or close the lid, I don't see the power light flashing to indicate it's asleep. Furthermore, when I try to wake it using either the keyboard or power button, it won't wake up. I have to hold the power button for 10 seconds before it finally will start up and boot up from a cold start. It' running the latest drivers and latest BIOS update (A06 I believe).

Thought I would try here for suggestions first before I call Dell.

Well, I guess the 85 views and no replies answers that question. Time to return this POS and buy a Mac Book....

Could be a software or hardware issue depending how you troubleshoot it. When you do Start > Sleep, what shows on the screen? When you push the power button while on the Windows desktop, what happens?

When I do start -> Sleep, I can see the computer start to go to sleep and finally go off. However, I don't see any lights flashing or anything to indicate it's asleep. It seems now that once it's "asleep" the only way to get the computer to turn back on is to unplug the power adapter, plug it back in, and then push the power button. Trying to push the power button without first unplugging the power cable literally does nothing.
