    Hey,

Just got brand new XPS 15.

I have static in one of the headphone jack, while the other one is fine.

Like when you plug in the headphones you hear the "zzzz" noise in the headphones.

For now I have headphones plugged into the other headphone jack.

Is this a big problem? How can this be fixed?

I just got this laptop today, I do not want to send it back for repair as they take too long.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks.

Make sure the plug is all the way into the jack. When I first inserted an external cable into my headphone jack, I thought it was in fully but I heard some hum on the external speakers. I pushed harder and the plug inserted fully, no hum.
