Hey Im having an issue with my xps 13 9350. Laptop has previously been conected to a hdmi cable via the usb port.

Now when I move the cable it stops working or flickers I have purchased a new cable and it causes the same problem. To compound the situation my normal dell charger is broken so I am using a usb type c charger which is putting more stress on the port.

It looks like the port is soldered to the motherboard. Is there anyone or service around that could replace the part in the uk?

If you are up for it, its a job worth giving a go yourself. Its often cheaper to buy the tools and materials yourself than hiring someone to repair it. If you want someone else to do it though, try having a look for computer shops near to you - find one which is well reviewed and give them a ring. They may or may not be able to do it (any good one should, as its simple as far as PCB soldering goes).
