Basically I have some poorly designed speakers and one of them fell on the lid of my m1530 causing a light white scratch on the matte surface, about 1.5 inches long .8mm wide. I tried rubbing it out but it didn't work and it becomes infuriating to look at considering i just got this thing. So any reccommendations on how to buff this out?

Edit: Also I have this http://www.amazon.com/NOV7033-Novus-Plastic-Scratch-Remover/dp/B000B4SCPA
    would it work?

It will depend on what material the casing is made out of. You could go to an auto-repair shop and see if they can help you out. or you can try this website

    Try babywipes.

Sounds stupid but if they are good enough for newborns and they should be good for everything else.

I use them for leather couch and all sorts of stuff and they have never done me wrong, and een using for years.

I have a 1530 and I know the tyoe of lid, and a bit of moisture should clean and buff, thats what I sue on mine and they are great
