Just wondering what those of you who buy computers more often than I do think about picking up an XPS 17 3D now or next month.

It's gonna happen either way, and right now there are a few non-stackable $100 coupons for an XPS laptop, but I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if there'll be a better deal in April, when the 3D XPS 17's start shipping out? In your experience, are the deals better before a laptop ships, or after?

I got my XPS 17 3D for $1400. That's a pretty good price IMO. I don't want to wait several months just to save a hundred bucks.

    1 pair 3D glasses

    9-cell battery
    2-year complete care

I'm going to replace the hard drive with an OCZ Vertex 3 either 120GB or 240GB once they are released. Also replacing the memory with Kingston Hyper-X.

With laptops (and most everything) there will always be a better deal now, or later..at time of purchase and after purchase. You just can't predict it.

If you find something you want now and have a really good deal & don't want to wait til later..why not get it? Regretting is not a fun thing to go thru. There will probably be good deals in April after the 3D XPS ship out. Dell is always offering coupon codes, and instant savings.

As said, it come downs to the "want it now factor" or "holding off and waiting", for that "potential better deal".

When I first got my XPS 1530 a few years ago....I let a few good deals go by, because I thought there would be a better deal down the road. I did get that better deal but I made myself wait longer...
