    Dell XPS 15s in the UK don't come with a backlit keyboard (at least not at the moment). Is it likely that I can get it from ebay or similar? Have they been available for previous versions? And roughly how much?

    There was speculation in another thread that the UK models my have it as standard. If not, I might also be looking out for a DIY upgrade...

    I should know tomorrow, when mine is due to arrive.

    I can confirm the backlit keyboard is not present on XPS 15 in UK.

    if/when they become available you will be able to pick one up from Ebay.
    studio backlit keyboards normally go for around £30.
    I am going to try arguing with Dell for one first as they told me it came standard but obviously hasnt

    will installing backlit keyboard invalidate dell warranty?
    any idea when sandybridge will possibly start to feature in any laptop? I am thinking maybe i should wait...

    Not if you dont tell them and install the original keyboard before making a warranty claim. Or pay an arm and a leg for a dell tech to come and do it for you.
