I will be buying from India, the prices here are bit more extravagant. Here is where I am confused- should i get the 2720qm processor over the 2630qm or the 3 year complete cover. Both cost 250USD, so I am really confused  .
The other thing I am really confused over is the battery- 6 cell vs 9 cell. I am currently using the Dell Studio 15 with a 9 cell battery and i simply hate the bulge. Though the bulge on the XPS 15, 9 cell is different, it is like the one on the Studio XPS 16 my brother had, i also hate that. Though i could use the extra battery life i also like to use the laptop in my lap, and it becomes uncomfortable with the 9 cell. How much of a battery life difference will the 9 cell make, is it worth the ugly/uncomfortable bulge. Thanks.

The 9 cell provides about a 50% increase over the 6 cell. I don't find the bulge uncomfortable in my lap, it doesn't run the entire width of the laptop so the battery fits pretty well between the legs.

Is it worth it? That's a call only you can make...

For portability like putting it in a laptop bag, I wouldn't want the bulge. It's a trade off though. I'm sure you can get at least 4 hours with just word processing on the 6 cell.

Sometimes people like the 9-Cell when putting it in their bag though, because it gives them something to hold onto when they pull it out. You'll still get plenty of battery life on the 6-Cell though.

Regarding the processor, depending on what you're doing you probably won't even notice the difference between the 2630QM and the 2720QM.

I highly recommend getting the B+RGLED 1920x1080 display though, so you might want to stick with the 2630QM to be able to afford this upgrade.

Battery is completely up to you. Personally I almost never use the laptop on my lap top(lol), and I like the angle it provides when it's on a desk. Though if I were to choose again I'd probably go for a 6cell, since I rarely use it unplugged, and the angle can be provided with pretty much anything, from bottled water caps to cig cases to whatever you name it, and a flat bottom is simply a lot more convenient when carrying it around.

2720 is not worth the upgrade at 250USD, unless you're sure you will make use of the extra speed. If you're not sure, you probably don't need it. For reference, my 740 will never reach 100% load unless I intentionally want it to, doing normal stuffs(words, surfing, WoW, crysis 2 etc)

Cmon man, I've answered this question so many times, get the 2630qm+advanced warranty, don't get 9 cell if you feel uncomfortable using the laptop. Now stop whining and get the laptop already, the more you think the more confused you get.
