Hi my XPS 15 L502X with i5-2410M processor and 525M GPU is on its way, Could someone please clarify if this GPU can be overclocked, If yes how would I go about doing it...... Thanks in advance...

I use this NVIDIA DRIVERS 6.06
mine gpu (330m) is not supported but works very well. -
Thank you , will give it a try , any idea whats the max freq this GPU can be clocked to? what was your original value and your clocked value?
-
Well I overclocked my graphic card on 27% but my laptop is well known heatfighter so the limited factor was stability. Also memory clocks can be OCed without linking to graphic's or processor's clocks. use furmark etreme burning mode stability test for 15-30 minutes to check if it is OK. Suggest you start from 15% OC. set high performance power plan. If you want to OC higher I suggest you to use additional capacity battery or notebook cooler for additional space underneath

Thank you James D, and one more clarification, when OC ed 15% how would the battery backup be affected?that is how much backup time would I lose?(approx time)
-
Wow! Maybe I misunderstand you. What do you mean battery backup? It is not recommended to do that without plugging in laptop. If you want to overclock anything using only battery as power source then forget it. Did you try to get a Windows index on battery? It will not let you. I am not prof in overclocking because I never overclocked smth in BIOS or using another program but I know that do this on unplugged laptop is dangerous.
But if you are talking about smth else I do not know how it can affect battery.
In any case, your graphic card is fast enough so the only reason to OC is to use antialising, MSAA, High shadows, DX11 and other such things I can live without. -
I have not OC'D GPU before, this is my first time, so bear with me if I am asking the wrong question, gathering all info i could about OC ing

Thank you so much

just remember that the ratio between Processor clock and Graphics clock in your GPU may be different. just divide default settings of them

noted....
CAN GT 525M Nvidia card be OVERCLOCKED
