    hello everyone,

thanks for you all being updated me on heatin issue of g84/86 gpu.
just now i called dell tech support, talked with him n said about the heating issue of ma xps m1530. he was tried to convience me to go in for replacement, or for a new one. but i said i need refund, coz even thou if ma laptop is replaced im not sure whether still i get the faulty gpu, so thought it d be better to go in for refund n wait for 9 series.

i live in india, so as far return policy is considered, its 30 days from the date of invoice, so i can claim the full refund, he said he is going to send the rep to collect ma laptop. i feel bad thou it was a good laptop around except the heating issue on g84/86

i d thank everyone for the gpu issue being highlighted, if not i d have been using the xps till ma notice period is over, after that all i can do is i can go in for replacement.

i d specially thank forte n bat boy for helping me in this situation, tho i live in india.
im returning this one, so im waiting for dell rep to come n collect it.

but now i have to wait for long time for 9 series, here in india still its not out yet, dell tech support said he have no idea on that card n have no information regarding it.

    thanks for all
    you guys rocks
    have a nice day

This whole Nvidia fiasco was the result of the manufacturer's usage of materials that could not sufficiently withstand the heat cycles of the GPU; so if they replace the motherboard, chances are they won't use one with a bad Nvidia GPU soldered on to it.

the tech support told me that he will send rep to ma house, n said he will process ma return order,

do anyone know how long does it take to process ma return order n how many days it gonna take to get ma full refund back, he dint say about when hes goning to send the rep to ma house to collect ma xps m1530 n dint say how much time does it take to processing returns n full refund?

should i call tech support again?
