    Hi,

I would like to install a SSD as a second drive to my L401x. Do you know if this is possible as it is on my Macbook Pro with OWC Data Doubler.

If you can find a caddy to put the HDD in the optical bay and put the SSD in the primary, sure why not. SSD or HDD, it does not matter to the computer, all that matters is if the laptop uses an odd form-factor hard drive (I'm assuming it uses the standard 9mm here).

Has anyone successfully changed out the optical DVD drive on the XPS L401x with a 2nd HDD? I'm curious about this procedure too.
