    Hi all,

Forum and computer noob here, although I've been lurking here a while trying to find some fixes for the common 1645 diseases :D . Thought I would give the 130w power adapter a go to see if it can reduce my throttling issue.

Can someone tell me if it is o.k to use a 130 PA-4E family power adapter instead of my PA-3E 90w version? All of my searches are only coming up with the PA-4E option and I didn't want to fork out for the wrong bit of kit.

    Thanks in advance.

No reason it shouldn't work. All Dell adapters made in the past five years are compatible given equivalent or higher wattage.
