As per subject, can I do this, and how? The camera doesn't seem to appear under Vista's Scanners and Cameras, though skype recognises it OK...

    Thanks in advance.

You have the drivers for the webcam. But I believe you need to have a separate program that utitlizes the webcam. You can Google for webcam applications, maybe you will find free ones.

Thanks - just realised, I should have tried the obvious sooner. Skype offers a 'take a video snapshot' option. This lets me take a still pic.

Quality ain't that hot, but I suspect that's down to the camera...

Under All Programs, there is a folder called Dell Webcam. You should be able to open the program that utilizes the webcam, photo, motion detection, etc.

    No problem.

Not to mention, you can take higher resolution pics. :)

The camera on these is awful. It is on par with free camera phones.
