    Can anyone help me find the right video drivers

    Hi,

    I was having issues with the sound not coming out the speakers of my laptop. I haveas studio xps 17". When I talked to Dell, they had me run some hardware test, and the speakers worked then, So they said it was a software error, and I needed to reinstall the operating system, but first needed to back up all my files.

    Well, It took me a long time to get around to doing that, and I decided to try reinstalling the operating system on my own instead of calling them. (maybe that was a mistake)

    So, I reinstalled Windows Vista Utlimate with the reinstall disk I got when I purchased the computer. Then, I inserted the driver utilities disk, and tried to install all the drivers I needed.

    But, my display looks stretched...and not as sharp...when I go into the device manger there are yellow triangles on the entry "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" under Display Adatpers menu , and also 6 devices listed under the "other devices" category that have those yellow exclamation triangles...4 says date interface, one says Ethernet Controller, and the other says SM Bus controller....

    I tried updating the drivers, but they said they are up-to-date...I know I had a good graphics card in there...not just a standard one...and I thought it used to give the name of it

    The Hardware Id for the video graphics cards is:

    PCI\Ven_1002&Dev9488

    Can anyone help me find what the cards name is and the correct drivers for the card...or what those yellow exclamation triangles under the other device could mean? or what I should about them?

    Eventually, I have the upgrade to Windows 7 Utimate that I am going to install, but I wanted to get it working under Vista first...make sure I have sound, etc.

    Sorry this is so long...I just wanted to give us much info as I can...if you could help with part or all of this it would be much appreciated.

    Go here and click the green 'Enter a Tag' button. Type in your service tag number and you will be able to download all the newest drivers for you laptop.

    Also, while your at it, You could download the newest BIOS and other drivers, if you wanted...
